VSTU hosts Friendship Cup tournament among international student

From 24 to 26 January Voronezh State Technical University hosted a traditional mini-football tournament among international students. Students from Uzbekistan, Cote d'Ivoire, the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, Egypt, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Guinea and other countries took part in the event. During the first stage of the tournament teams were divided into two subgroups. Teams with the highest scores in their subgroups reached the semi-final. Main time of a duel for the third place between students from the Republic of Guinea-Bissau and Cote d'Ivoire finished with a score of 6:6. The team of Cote d'Ivoire won the game in a series of post-match penalties. In the final match the team of Tajikistan beat the team of Turkmenistan 3:1. Thus, students from Tajikistan won the first prize, students from Turkmenistan won silver and students from Cote d'Ivoire took the third place.
