VSTU STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN ARCHAEOLOGICAL RESEARCH ON A PLOT OF LAND

Master’s degree students of the Voronezh State Technical University of the field of study «Archaeological research in construction» have completed an introductory training.

Students of the MAIS-221 group participated in archaeological research on a plot of land.

– This is my first experience of archaeological excavations. Emotions overflowed! It would seem a plot and endless cubic meters of land. The ground was dug by the bulldozer, then the students dug with shovels and cleaned up. An hour passed, a second, and lo! Long awaited discovery! Cleaning it from the ground, and realizing that this object was used several centuries ago, you experience indescribable delight. During archaeological research, students of the MAIS-221 group found a glass vial with the inscription «Pharmacy» and a fragment of a vessel with a convex engraving «VORONEZH». The discoveries date back to the 19th century.
