VSTU CELEBRATES RESCUE DAY

On December 24, a festive event dedicated to Rescue Day took place in front of building No. 1 of VSTU. The opening speech was delivered by the rector of VSTU D.K. Proskurin: «Rescue is a very important concept. VSTU is one of the few universities in the region that trains students in areas of public protection in emergency situations. It is gratifying that today our partners are present at the celebration: the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations and our services». Also, the guests were greeted by the head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Voronezh Region, Major General A.N. Koshel: «Rescue Day is a great holiday not only for employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, but also for those who have dedicated their lives to saving the lives and health of citizens. In view of the fact that your university is the main supplier of personnel not only for the Russian Emergencies Ministry, but also for other municipal services, I would like to wish you success in your studies and further employment». After the speech, Alexander Nikolaevich presented the rector of VSTU, D.K. Proskurin commemorative medal of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia «Marshal Vasily Chuikov». Head of the Department of Technosphere and Fire Safety P.S. Kuprienko congratulated those present at the celebration and noted that this year marks the 22nd anniversary of the creation of the united department at VSTU.

On this day, the students of the department performed with thematic poems and songs. Many employees and students of the department were awarded certificates. At the end of the celebration, a demonstration of machinery and special equipment took place, as well as an introductory tour of the department of technosphere and fire safety.
