VSTU enhances its position in Webometrics Ranking of World Universities

Voronezh State Technical University has once again entered the TOP 100 of Webometrics Ranking of World Universities among Russian universities.

Webometrics Ranking of World Universities is one of the prestigious world rankings, which evaluates web presence of universities. The ranking is published by Cybermetrics Lab, a research group within the Spanish National Research Council established under the Ministry of Science and Education of Spain since 2004, and updated twice a year: each January and July.    

The aim of Webometrics Ranking is to promote open access to scientific publications and improve visibility of universities on the internet. The ranking focuses on the number of external links to the website of a university, SCImago data about publications in Scopus, as well as Citation Index of open access publications in Google Scholar. More than 31 000 institutions of higher education worldwide are analyzed and ranked by the experts of Webometrics.
