International students of VSTU receive their diplomas

On July 23, the Institute of International Education of Voronezh State Technical University held a graduation ceremony for international students. This year, 141 students from 68 countries graduated from VSTU. Some of them decided to continue their education at VSTU and receive a Master’s Degree or PhD. 24 students were awarded diplomas with honours and 10 graduated at the top of their class. In addition, 10 students received certificates for active participation in the life of the faculty. 

Acting Rector of VSTU Dmitriy Proskurin congratulated students on successful graduation. He noted that the university is proud of its international students and whished them further career success.           

“Today is an important day for all of us. There is no doubt that international students face more challenges during their study,” stressed Dmitry Proskurin. “But I’m sure that now you learned all about life and traditions of Russian students. We are pleased to see a high level of your knowledge. The doors of our university are open to applicants for Master’s Degree and PhD Programmes. Hold the banner of your Alma Mater high and keep in touch with us!”

Representative of MFA of Russia in Voronezh Ivan Igolkin in his speech noted that graduates not only mastered a profession but also became a part of Russian world through its language and culture.

Graduates were also congratulated by the First-Vice Rector Igor Drozdov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs Igor Mazurenko and Vice-Rector for Student Affairs Anton Khodunov. They wished graduates success and further accomplishments and emphasized that students from all over the world are welcome at VSTU.

Graduates, in turn, warmly thanked university administration and academics of VGTU for their great contribution to their future.
