VSTU STUDENTS OBTAIN ANOTHER SPORT ACHIEVEMENTS

On February 3, the Voronezh Region Championship in weightlifting among juniors and juveniles was held at the «Zvezdny» sports complex. Anastasia Polushkina, a student of the VSTU Construction and Polytechnic College, took first place, gaining 133 kg in biathlon. Trainer is a Lecturer of the Department of Physical Education and Sports of VSTU, D.I. Chernyshev.

From February 3 to 5, Ryazan hosted the sambo championship of the Central Council of the Federal Security Service of Trade Unions «Russia» dedicated to the memory of the Honored Master of Sports, Honored Coach of the USSR A.A. Kharlampiev. The competition became a qualifying stage for the upcoming Russian Championship. According to the results, Ivan Antonyuk, a student of the Faculty of Engineering Systems and Structures of VSTU, took 1st place and was selected for participation in the 2023 Russian Sambo Championship.
