A delegation from the People’s Republic of Bangladesh pays a visit to VSTU

On 28 June, a delegation from the People’s Republic of Bangladesh in Moscow paid a visit to Voronezh State Technical University. Among the members of the delegation were Mr. Faisal Ahmed, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, and Mr. Md Mazedur Rahman Sarker, First Secretary of the Labour and Welfare Wing. On the part of VSTU, the meeting was attended by the First Vice-Rector Igor Drozdov, Vice-Rector for International Affairs Igor Mazurenko, the Head of the International Project Office Evgeniia Kiseleva, Director of the Institute of International Education Valeriya Budko, leading specialist and expert of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Voronezh Representative Office Ivan Igolkin.

During the roundtable discussion on development of Bangladesh-Russia bilateral educational collaboration representatives of VSTU told the guests about the history of the university, its educational programs and international cooperation. Foreign guests emphasized the strong demand for technical education among Bangladeshi students and noted the importance of VSTU to the region and the country. Mr. Faisal Ahmed and Mr. Md Mazedur Rahman Sarker visited Collective Use Center of VSTU and learned about unique equipment for physical and chemical research, construction materials and structures testing as well as diagnostics of traffic-bearing surfaces. 

On the same day, a meeting between representatives of the Embassy and VSTU students from the People’s Republic of Bangladesh took place. They told about their life and study in Voronezh and noted high qualification of faculty staff and warm and friendly atmosphere at VSTU.
