For the first time, Voronezh State Technical University was included in the prestigious QS World University Rankings “Emerging Europe and Central Asia” and entered the 351-400 group.
The QS ranking is considered one of the three world’s most respected university rankings along with ARWU Shanghai Ranking and Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
In total, 400 institutions of higher education were presenting in the ranking including 121 Russian universities.
Experts of Quacquarelli Symonds company assess university performance in ten criteria. Key metrics of the ranking such as academic reputation (30%) and graduate employability (20%) are evaluated on the basis of international surveys of academic and employers’ communities. The ranking also focuses on faculty staff and class diversity, a number of staff members with doctoral degrees, science citation index, publication activities of academic staff, percentage of international lecturers and students as well as web presence of a university.
