For the third consecutive year, the Department of educational policy of VSTU coordinates the participation of students and teachers in the programs of The Vladimir Potanin Foundation. Within the framework of the Scholarship competition, the department’s employees conduct an extensive and multidirectional campaign to prepare students for the most difficult and important stage of the program.
On January 18, VSTU held a training for the internal round of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation Scholarship program which was conducted by a certified psychologist and coach Irina Zhirkova. The finalists of the correspondence round spent the day learning how to work effectively in a team, show leadership qualities, improve their oratory and evaluate their results together with the coach.
After the training course the students shared their impressions with our coordinators.
Helena Usova, a second year Master’s degree student of the Faculty of Engineering Systems and Structures said that she was tired, but happy after the training course. She thinks that everyone learned something new after the meeting and got an impulse to achieve their goals. She thanked the coach Irina, curators and our university for the organization of the training course, great advice and the opportunity to realize their potential.
Anna Korchagina, a first year Master’s degree student of the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning said that the training course prepared them for the future internal round and allowed them to fell the atmosphere of the Potanin program. She also thanked the university for the opportunity to take part in such trainings. Anna added that in summer VSTU organizes young leader's school which gives students the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge that can be used in such competitions.
The winner of last year’s program will give a master class to the students.
The internal round of the Vladimir Potanin Foundation Scholarship program will be held on the 29th of January in Moscow.
