On December 20 in Moscow, the winners of the all-Russian competition named after the printing pioneer Ivan Fedorov were awarded for the best publication on research and scientific and methodological works. The event was organized by the all-Russian public organization "Russian Engineering Academy" and the employees of the Voronezh State Technical University were among the winners of the competition.

The award for "Russian-English-Arabic explanatory dictionary of a road engineer" was given to its authors: the Rector of VSTU, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor S.A. Kolodyazhnyi, the Head of the Department of Construction and Operation of Roads, candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor V.P. Podolskyi, translator from the Department of Construction and Operation of Roads, T.V. Mordovtseva and VSTU graduate student Al Ades Mohammed Hashim.

The dictionary is intended for foreign students who speak English and Arabic and study road construction disciplines. The purpose of its creation is to interpret in an accessible form the terms used in the design, construction and operation of roads and artificial structures. It should be noted, that the publication was highly appreciated by the staff of the Embassy of Iraq in Moscow, and the authors received a letter of thanks from the first Secretary of the Embassy Altobi Gazi saying "this dictionary has become another bridge in the relations of our countries".

The all-Russian competition named after the printing pioneer Ivan Fedorov has purely practical stress and is intended to reveal creative potential, demonstrate achievements in the field of science, technology, education, and motivate scientists, teachers, and engineers to write progressive scientific-research manuals. This is necessary in order to further promote new developments, research results and introduce them into the practice of modern high-tech production.
