The event was organized by the all-Russian public organization "Russian Engineering Academy" and the employees of the Voronezh State Technical University were among the winners of the competition.
The award for "Russian-English-Arabic explanatory dictionary of a road engineer" was given to its authors: the Rector of VSTU, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor S.A. The purpose of its creation is to interpret in an accessible form the terms used in the design, construction and operation of roads and artificial structures. It should be noted, that the publication was highly appreciated by the staff of the Embassy of Iraq in Moscow, and the authors received a letter of thanks from the first Secretary of the Embassy Altobi Gazi saying "this dictionary has become another bridge in the relations of our countries".
The all-Russian competition named after the printing pioneer Ivan Fedorov has purely practical stress and is intended to reveal creative potential, demonstrate achievements in the field of science, technology, education, and motivate scientists, teachers, and engineers to write progressive scientific-research manuals. This is necessary in order to further promote new developments, research results and introduce them into the practice of modern high-tech production.
