On May 9, students, academics and staff members of Voronezh flagship university took part in the Immortal Regiment march. VSTU column, led by rector Sergei Kolodyazhni, walked through Dzerzhinsky str., Lenin Square and Revolution avenue. Representatives of the university held portraits of relatives and dear ones who took part in the Great Patriotic War.
Patriotic event the Immortal Regiment march is our tribute to those, who fought on a front line and bravely defended our homeland against Nazi Germany. Behind every portrait, which was held by participants of the march, stands a story of glorious heroic deeds of our grandparents and forefathers. Each of us lost our loved ones in that war. This year’s parade marks seventy four years since the end of the Great Patriotic War, but we will never forget fallen soldiers!
The Immortal Regiment march gathered about 57 thousand Voronezh residents this year.
The memory of the Great Victory and heroism of our forefathers will stay in our hearts forever! Thank you for peace! Thank you for life! Thank you for freedom!
